As of 11pm tonight, some three and half years after the UK’s referendum on membership of the EU, the UK will no longer formally be a part of the European Union.

Since the referendum we’ve often been asked how Brexit will affect our business. The fact is that the UK will remain in the the EU single market while negotiations take place during the “transition period”. This transition period is expected to last until 31 December 2020.

So, on 1 February it will be business as usual for Hayward & Green. We are adamant that our company values of faultless customer service, expert industry knowledge and affordable, fair pricing remain whatever the (political) weather.

With 50 years’ service to aviation under our belt, we’ve proven we know how to adapt and stay ahead. A business like ours can be nimble and agile, which is a distinct advantage in an ever-changing world.

So we’re excited to announce that we’re in the process of setting up as an HMRC Customs Warehouse. This will allow us to provide a seamless service whether shipping or exporting inside or outside of the EU. We’re on target for approval later this year, meaning our customers will benefit from even faster transitions and fewer clearance delays – good news for everyone.
